Daily Issues

" When I die, I want to die in my sleep like my grandfather... not screaming and yelling like the passengers in his car. "

So, hey there! I'm back, still disappointingly alive. (>__<) Another week goes by in the land of America and not a day passes without me wishing I wasn't here. Well, it's not all that bad to be honest. The food is awesome (as expected, I've gained 10 pounds in less than 3 months >__>), the house is generally clean, I have a TV in my room, I have my whole family with me and I get to have hot showers whenever I want without having to go through the trouble of manually heating it over the stove with an oversized teapot. Life's good, but as personal rule of being a typical teenager, my list of complaints are just as long.

Here they are.... 8D

Since it's fall, it'd be natural for everything to freeze up a bit.
But apparently, I underestimated the cold BIG TIME. Every morning, my fingers would grow numb and swell slightly from the cold. Not only that, but I can see my breath each time I exhale. (O__O) I'd buy one of those nice fur-lined jackets, but my mom's still waiting for her Social Security stuff to be given the 'OK' signal so she can help my dad earn some cash. Basically, we're poor. Well, not really. XD But we're having issues concerning our cash income. Ironic how the economy works, doesn't it? We'd be considered 'rich' in the Philippines what with all the dollars we're being sent, only to be considered ordinary and middle-class here because we're earning AND spending dollars (not pesos). So until then (or when tita Suzette sends clothes from Massachusetts), I'll be freezing my butt off every morning.... I can only pray Mr. Eliades, my awesome History teacher, would continue to let me take shelter in his classroom to do work.

P.E. EVERY SINGLE [censored]!@#$%^&[censored] DAY. Yes, you heard me! (#__#)
My first few weeks were the most torturous. We run 8 laps around this HUGE track-n-field ring around the football field. Till now, I'm still amazed I hadn't fainted or succumbed to any sort of pulmonary dysfunction when I first attempted to run the first two laps. I practically didn't posses a single coordinated muscle in my body. None. If you must know, I've pretty much been a thin stick coated in soft fat for most of my life. That's all thanks to the fatless food and P.E. system in the Philippines, where we only had a single day of P.E. in a week for the majority of our four years in highschool. Psch... and I thought THAT was bad. (-__-) Lol. I've tried to imagine Kai running eight times everyday in that tiny body of her's. (o__O) She'd either die or trip after each lap from exhaustion. XDD
But, gradually, I got better. Of coarse, I can never beat those beastly long-legged white people who've been doing this kind of running since elementary. But, then again, I'm only trying not to be the last person on the track. XD Hmm... I wonder if I can beat everyone back in Iloilo for track n' field now? (^__^);

Raining homework. (x__x) Every fudging night. DX
Naturally, if I show any signs of laziness, my parents would wip out their authority personae. Which partially explains why I'm almost never online --- my dad would stab me if he found out I'm still 'wasting' my time updating my blog. It's virtually impossible for me to blow-off my homework... unless I forget about it. Which, honestly, happens quite often. (>__>)
My blog actually helps boost my sanity; it gives me an outlet to express the personality I have to hold back whenever I'm with the people in my school. I just can't be myself here. (T__T)

Retarded people. Seriously, some of them are just plain immature about a lot of stuff.
And no, I don't mean physical or sexual maturity. (-.-); I can never fully relate to anyone... ever. Almost everyone acts like the stereotypical teenager who never thinks about anything that doesn't affect their personal life. But I guess everyone here is like that: always restricting their world to what they only choose to know. Well, I guess that's America for you. But for those who are susceptible to feelings of depression and loneliness, it's not a very healthy environment. No wonder they have so many crazy people here who kidnap children and whatnot. I mean, I'm not the constantly-depressed type, yet I'm STILL suffocating from the lack of intelligent conversations. (-.-);
Have I also mentioned that the girls here wear makeup every single day? DD:

So this is my list of the crappy stuff I have to face whilst living here. Next time, I'll talk about each of my classes. By the way, it's important to note that the classes are based individually (per student), not the year they're in. To put it simply, everyone has different schedules. And just to save myself from talking about my schedule later, I have Algebra, English, Gym, World History, Spanish and Chemistry.
Bah. Just when I thought I'd gotten rid of Filipino, I suddenly have to study Spanish. (o.o); But it's okay, since it's not actually that hard~.

PS: This post has lots of errors in it. Bear with me... I have to sneak out with the laptop at 12PM midnight just to post here.

Till next time~. Hasta luego!(^__^)

Trick or Tread

" The roads you've chosen lead to nowhere --- so why not find out where nowhere goes? "

First of all....

*~Happy Holloween~*
to mah homies back in the Philippines. (^___^)

Ohmygawd. The black people here are starting to get to me. (O__O) Uhmm... back to the topic! So, anyway, I hope you guys had a good time celebrating the typical yearly antics that usually come from celebrating a day for dead people. 8D Speaking of dead people, I wanna show this picture of me looking like those classic ghosts in Grudge movies. Just click here. Beware, though.... whatever impressions you previously had on me might shatter into countless, irreparable pieces. No, I'm serious. (o__O) That face, my friends, won me the Halloween costume contest on my Freshmen year. Yes, I'm THAT scary. Though that picture was taken a while back (around two years ago) and so I'm not sure if I can still pull it off with my --- currently --- much shorter hair and tanner complexion. *shifty eyes*
And if your finished reeling from that troubling image, I'll continue with my post about how my Halloween went~.

*Ahem* As many of you know, candy is a vital necessity when it comes to the century-old tradition of Trick or Treat'ing. This holds true in the land of red, white and blue... very, very true. So, basically, I went with my parents and baby brother from house to house hoarding candy. And I'm talking about mini-Snicker bars, unlimited packets of taffy, Pocky sticks and Rice Crispies. If you've never tried a Rice Crispy, then your stumped. XD

So there I was.... marching around the neighborhood in a cosplay-themed sailor suite (with blood-red lipstick, whitening powder and eyeliner to boot), walking hand-in-hand with a chubby Baby Superman as we made our way up random lawns decorated with glowing pumpkins, tombstones, scarecrows and various other decorations. Some decorations were lame, others were kiddish and there had been a few that were just plain awesome. The nightly autumn air was chilly. Not very nice when your wearing a mini-pleated skirt and knee-high socks. (>__<) I think we went through twelve to fifteen houses. I wanted to do more, of course, but Drey eventually tired out despite his uncontrollable enthusiasm when we first started out. (>.>);
The kids were usually accompanied by adults and teens who were also in costumes. And once in a while, there'd be just a bunch of teens getting candy for the sake of candy. XD My dad even said that the kids were sometimes driven around by their parents to several different neighborhoods and subdivisions just to see how much candy they could actually get in one night. People really take things to the extreme here... but I guess if it's the U.S, they can pull-off just about anything. (@__@)

We strapped Drey onto his stroller and headed back. When we arrived, we were greeted by Donna, my uncle Bopip's supposed partner (I don't even know if they're married and/or together and I won't bother asking -.-;), Uncle Bopip himself and my cousin Matthew. Matthew's just a month older than Drey and, on this occasion, was dressed as Darth Vader. The two mischievous imps ran toward each other and started conversing in baby language. Then they started to push against each other as if fighting in a sort of wrestling match. The adults pulled them apart before anything serious happened. But it was kinda weird..... Darth Vader V.S. Superman. (o__o);

After being visited by more Trick-or-Treaters and a couple of friends from Donna and Tito Bopip's workplace (along with their son), we ate some cake and started to clean up. I had to wash and scrub my face three times just to get the eyeliner out. Oh, which remind me: I took a snapshot of me wearing the costume along a dark, narrow corridor. I'll post it whenever I can convince my dad to upload it from the digi-cam. :3

Hmm... well, that's about it. I can' think of anything left to say. :D Again, have a nice Autumn peoples!

The Move

" Happiness is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose. "

For once, I'm bringing some effort back into this blog. After weeks of post-lacking and uninteresting little quips, it's time for a major update of my life. And boy, do I have a LOT to tell. I'm not even sure where to begin...
For one thing, the so-called 'epic' move to U.S. wasn't so epic. I was puking and coughing and gagging like a sick dog during the entire 12-hour flight. Not very pleasant. Now how, you ask, did it turn out so horriblly? Well, let me go back to how our big trip to U.S. went back in Sept. 15, Wednesday.

Every smart persona knows there's a lot in life to complain about.
We spent two days packing our things, separating all the crappy old clothes that we could never possibly resurrect from our good ones. We stuffed our incomplete pairs of socks and underwear in whatever box we could fill them with. The hauling process was tiring for my parents, especially when they had the entire trip to worry about. It was during all the chaotic packing-up had I realize how low my sense of fashion had once been... who knew I once owned pink-silken pajamas with feet? (O__O)
Two days --- and three HUGE boxes --- later, we were at our last night sleeping in the Philippines. I barely slept that night, taking in every little detail of the room I knew so well. And then it occurred to me how much I'd miss everything about this place... how it had always been home to me. I guess I was growing rather sentimental at that point. XD

The next morning, we left for Manila on a damp morning at 5AM. I barely had time to rub the sand from my eyes before I was being yelled at to go take a bath. We were driven to the airport using my dad's friend's car (he's the guy I call 'Tito Red' who also happens to be my maninoy of all sorts). During my time in the car, I was texting Mitch, Justine and a anonymous person my goodbyes. Two hours later, we landed in Manila's Paranaque airport and was brought over to Lola Alyn's house for a rest before our nighttime flight. Then a little idea that's been reoccurring at the back of my head for the past two months suddenly urged me to make it happen. No matter how random it seemed, I had to ask for help this time...
........ I asked my Lola Alyn to bring a bracelet made of stainless steel and hard rubber to someone in Manila. Pasig, to be more precise. There were two of those bracelets: the one I was giving to this person had three stars engraved on the steel and the one I was keeping had two fishes. I asked her to keep it a secret from my parents. And, since I was leaving, I explained to her that I wanted to give this person something since I probably wouldn't be back for a long time. She agreed, and promised to send the little trinket to him (which meant she payed for the delivery) by LBC. I gave her the address and walked off with a smile. But then, I collapsed on the bed and forgot I promised to call the person I was sending the bracelet to via landline. (-__-);

I awoke with a start a few hours later, still exhausted by reasons beyond my drowsy understanding. I brushed my teeth zombie-style and crawled downstairs towards the car which was tucked away at the garage. We rode through the streets of Makati and made our way through a different district of the city. We bought burritos at the Mall of Asia and went around for a while. Then, we got off at the airport. We went through the many procedures needed to enter the flight waiting area. It involved passport checkups, bomb checkups and item checkups. If you've gone traveling before, you'd know what I'm talking about. :3 But since this was an international flight, they took these safety measures to the extreme just to make sure there were no bombs shifting their way into any of the planes and killing hundreds of passengers. (o__o)

Around this time, I was starting to feel weird. Not the 'I-think-I'm-imagining-things' weird, but the 'I-think-I'm-gonna-throw-up-from-those-spicy-burritos' weird. I though it was food poisoning at first, but I guess it was just acid. But whatever it was, the excruciating stomach pains continued into the dead of the night. I had to go to the public bathroom just to puke this colorless salty stuff. I lost count on how many times I went back and forth after the fifth puke session. (x__x)
My dad had the 'annoyed-but-logical' look on his face. He figured I wasn't just complaining after I started the series of puking. My mom was worried, but she couldn't do anything cause Drey was being hyper and whiny and so she had to continue to look after him. (-.-);

By the time the plane arrived, I drained almost two bottles of Gatorade. And I continued to puke. The puking only stopped after I started developing a high fever during the flight. I'm surprised the people at the airport didn't suspend my family's flight out of "New Virus Strain" suspicions. (>__<) I couldn't even eat the good-looking food served during the flight... my stomach convulsed and contracted at the slightest movement or liquid intake. Not only that, but the fever made me sensitive to light and the temperature. I slept during the entire time under one of those airplane blankets. Basically, it was a horrible post-trip experience. Just HORRIBLE. I was far from excited. I just wanted the torture to be over... Bah. I lived, anyway. So I guess it's all good. XD

America is interesting. I'll talk about school another time. Wow, wouldn't THAT be a long post? (>.>);

Serious Haitus

I'll be going through a long blogging haitus. A really, really long one. Thing's have been stressful --- to the point my hairs hairs have started to fall off my scalp -- and I'm not allowed to blog till' I finish all my backlog. Psch. It's only been a week and I'm ALREADY failing Geometry.

Sorry guys... (T__T)
