Writer's Block

" You forgive out of friendship, not forgetfulness. "

I'm not blogging as much as I want to. I'll probably go on for more than a few days without posting till' August comes. Wow... Am I THAT lame? I'm actually creating an entire post expressing nothing else but my lack of posting. (o__o)
Well, I've definetly had my fun. That random trip around Alta Tierra was just too awesome. Of course, I should have probably acted less detached when we used about a bazillion 1-peso coins paying for our meal at Jolibee. Haha~. Oh, and I never knew Mark Edward's house was so tiny... maybe his shortness was to compensate for the lack of floor space? XDD

As for the cosplay, it didn't quite happen as a group-thing like it was originally planned. In fact, far from it. After our little adventures through Savemore, I came to Kai and Myrt's house for a sleepover and also for us to finish the costumes (Heh. We were all heavy sleepers). Myrtle didn't quite do a very good job with the skirt, and the top was almost impossible to do with intrained hands. So the next day, I made a planned visit to my lola's sister-in-law at DB Ledesma, who's also a really good seamstress. She's so good, in fact, she claimed the costume would be done by tomorrow (it was about 4:30pm in the afternoone). That's, like, barely half the time it took to sew the whole skirt together (which had also been completely redone).

Reaction: ... Ok. That's good. Thank you so much. (-.-);

The very next day was when the epitome of shitness started to unfold. Myrtle called me by 12pm, telling me that her cosplay costume was ready and that she and Kai are waiting for me at their house. Being in deep sleep at that time, I was seriously pretty grumpy. The same lola who brought me to DB yesterday was gonna bring my own costume to my house. But, she wasn't there yet and so I decided to sleep a lil' bit more.

Then about 30mins later, my effin' DAD CALLS, asking if I was doing my RS like I was supposed to. Mom, who made me sound like a complete vigilante just HAPPENED to tell him of my nightime trip to Savemore and me still having some RS left, gets dad angry. She then proceeded to hand-over the phone to me.... and that was when all hell broke loose. My dad has a fine way of making me feel like a bleeding sespool of stupidity ---- yes, I think it's a latent talent of his. If his anger wasn't bad enough, he bans me from leaving the house till' I get all my skills done. My jaw dropped.
Ten minutes and lots of staring later, my costume arrives. It looked awesome. Too bad I couldn't use it. On the upside, I now have a pleated skirt I could use for everyday-wear. (=__=)

And that, my peeps, is how the month of July ends for me.
I'm hoping you're all hoping for more stuff to read next month.

Anime Cosplay

For explanations regarding cosplay, click here.

This week, Kai, Myrt and I planned a cosplay event. We've had this idea hovering above our heads for quite some time now, but for some reason, have barely been able to make it happen till now. (^.^);

Schedule: Myrtle and Kai's house on Friday, 4:30pm.

Cosplay Coverage:

Jeanne
Enma Ai - Hell Girl
L Lawliet - Death Note

Kai
Himawari - xxxHolic

Myrtle
Misa - Death Note
Shana - Shakugan no Shana

Pictures shall be taken, slightly edited by photoshop CS and will be posted round' next week on each of the subject's respective blogs. Wow.... I'm, like, the only girl attempting to cosplay as a guy here. But since it's L, I don't really mind. He's awesome. (^__^) Will we succeed? I have no idea~. Crap --- I'm gonna be wearing a skirt w/o the leggings. DD:

PS: A thousand thanks Myrt for sewing my costume! I suck at the remedial practice of practical house chores. (v__v)
Also a BIG thanks to Kai for my new blog skin layout (my old one was... well, getting old). And thank you, my dear, for the support. Ehem, I believe you know who you are. *wink*

PS for the PS: We spotted Miss Bambi, a very strict teacher in ASIL, when we ate at Mang Inasal. She was on a date and wearing SHORTS. Hah, well... that's certainly something you don't see everyday...

Post-Funeral

Annyywayy... I've been pretty BORED. Even if I don't have much to blog about, I constantly refrain from breaking my weekly-posts streak.

On Friday, I attended this funeral party in school (Or, to be more precise, my ex-school). It involved staying awake till morning and offering prayers to the deceased. I didn't really wanna go at first, but for the sake of my boredom-induced sanity and due to my respect towards Raymund, I gladly went. I wore this hooded red blouse, jeans and my usual pair of converse. Turns out, red isn't allowed in funerals. "Not unless you wanna be cursed," they said. Crap. I swear, I didn't know!
My mom was the one who advised me to use jeans and Off Lotion. Thanks, mom. :3

Myrtle PM'd me to come to her house and we came to school together. Everyone was at the gym, eating free icecream, fries, spaghetti and juice provided by the Santua family. Turns out they ran out of juice, so Myrt, Kai and I spent a good 30mins undertaking the task of looking for anything something to drink.

We walked towards Mrs. Fudge; it was closed. We were gonna walk across the road; the store there was closed, too. I saw an open store in a dark street; smokers stayed there. Myrt offered saliva; we declined. :D In a march of epic failure, we dragged our butts back inside the campus, running into Raymund and his mom who ultimately offered us something to drink cause' we looked so tired. Lovely.

Kai wanted to change clothes since she was still in her PE uniform. I tagged along with them to their house before the church service could begin. The mass began by 8:00pm. The school chapel was cramped with Lizette's relatives. About a dozen students from Washong were invited by Raymund (he attended that school last year). We waited for about an hour, more than twenty students from different schools and colleges sitting out at the stone paths lining the back of the chapel. They actually served food and the three of us ate a bit. We mostly drank coke. Then the twins pop-up, unexpectedly coming to pay their respects aswell.

All of us dropped by the chapel to offer prayers after eating, looking at Lizette's stuff which was displayed at a table to the right. It was a seriously depressing scene. Letters and cards from the time she was hospitalized were hung on a rack next to the coffin. Strangely, they used 'Katol' during the mass instead of incense. Quite understandable, of course.

After a while, our two maids came to bring me home. I said my goodbyes and left the aura of impending gloom.

It takes a great amount of SKILL to trip over flat, stable surfaces - Kai
She took two steps on a track n' field run... and came out two seconds later with this huge bruise and cast. For the win.

Over-Extended Vacation

" You'll never know what you had till' it's gone. "

Almost every student would secretly wish for their summer vacation to last forever. No school, no studies, no teachers and no more of that tiresome socialist-attitude that comes from having to hang around people you despise and/or dislike. Well, guess what? Not me.

Right now, I'm sorta half-wishing I'm back in school like everyone else and having a normal, routine-based life. Free time is awesome and all, but there really IS something as plausible as "too much of a good thing". Seriously. I'm even willing to bear all the homework given on a daily basis. I'd come to school to finish my Science RS every afternoon. Today, whilst passing through the second floor towards Miss's room, I stumbled upon Louis (an odd ex-classmate) infront of the computer lab. He greeted me with his usual shouts of "It's Jeanne!" and ran into the room, still shouting my obvious presence. Next thing I know, I was being ambushed from behind by Myrtle, Kai and Tin on the staircase.

When I say ambush, I mean being glomped on all sides, dragged, and then shoved into the classroom. *shifty eyes*

It was strange, really. I found myself sitting in a room where I haven't been in for several months now, surrounded by my usual gaggle of classmates and a chattering atmosphere which felt very welcoming. My day was punctuated by hanging out with Myrtle, visiting her house and then mine's. I slumped on my bed, lulling around thinking how much I'd miss these people... even when I'm partially greatful for being given a fresh start in life on a distant continent.

Peace,
Jinmei
