Okay, so let's get straight to the point. I've been VERY busy.
I'm inclined to repeat that the main reason why we went to Manila is because we needed to get our medical papers done (as I have mentioned in a previous post) which are needed for our passports and whatnot. That included immunization shots. Since this is a personal blog, I'm sure a little ranting is in order. :D
Has anyone recieved a 'shot' before? Yeah, I figure you've gotten atleast one of those in your lifetime. Basically, they're for disease prevention such as chicken pox, measles and cervical cancer. They hurt for a few days, which isn't so bad.
But guess what? I had SIX shots at the same time. Two on both arms and one on each leg. After that, I couldn't remove my blouse without muttering "Ow" every 5 seconds. And DO NOT get me started on that blood-testing episode... I mean, who the fucking hell twists a needle inside your flesh in a blunt attempt to pull it out? I squeeled like a tortured mouse. (-__-) A huge bruise formed on my left joint the next day. But I'm sure I'll be grateful for the immunizations once the pain stops. (^__^) Besides that, there was also an X-ray taking part and a physical examination (which you had to remove your clothes and let a doctor examine you). After that, we went to the U.S. Embassy for an interview.
To be honest, this happened last week (the interview was only recent, though). But I couldn't find the right words to type since I always came back to my lola's house in, more or less, an exhausted state. But strangely, my thoughts never stray far from my midnight phonecaller. It was fun, but I'm going back to Iloilo tomorrow. It'd be nice to see my friends before I leave.
